Finals

Hey everyone!
Well, it's finally here- the semester is almost over! Finals are upon us. It's hard to believe my sophomore year of college is at it's halfway point. My college years seem to be going by so fast. I guess it's a good thing in a way, but these are the best years, so I want it to slow down a little. Thanksgiving Break last week kinda spoiled me; it's been hard to get back in the groove of school. It sucks, because this is the time I need to be focused the most! But, i'm looking forward to getting finals out of the way, and having a whole month off for Christmas. Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas & a Happy New Year! Goodluck on Finals!

21st Century/Kellogg

I have many, many wonderful thoughts and feelings about 21st Century Education in the classroom, I believe it totally sets a new tone for learning. When I first started learning about this method in this class, I never really knew how many options were available to us and students across the world. My eyes have been opened to what a great effect this approach has taken on students today. When we went to visit Kellogg Elementary, I was truly amazed. We've been talking about all the technology & resources available throughout the semester, and to finally see it in "action" at Kellogg, was just awesome. These kids will be much better off in the long run to have started from the beginning, learning the basics, with 21st Century Learning, and they will make a big difference in the world. I wish I would have been privileged to learn this way, maybe I would be better prepared, and I wouldn't have struggled in high school with all the boring ways of teaching. After visiting Kellogg, I found myself being excited about becomming a teacher and teaching kids the way they should be taught in the 21st Century. The vibe that Kellogg gives off, just by walking through it, seems "right" and hearning Harold talk about how the kids interact with each other, tell us that they are ginuienly happy people.
